Christian Kids Activity Sheets: The Fellowship of the Believers

Acts 2:41-47

I had a bit of trouble locating worksheets specific to Acts 2:41-47 and I decided this week to provide you with the activity sheets in slightly different format.

Leading into this bible verse is Acts 2:1-41.  Previously I have posted links to kids activities relating to this bible verse:

The Coming of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost

Reading from my Good News Bible (Acts 2:41) it says “Many of them believed his message and were baptised, and about three thousand people were added to the group that day.” This bible verse touches on two topics – discipleship and baptism:

Discipleship:  The Calling of the First Disciples

Baptism:  Sermons4Kids – New Beginnings

Acts 2:42 speaks about the apostles “They spent their time in learning from the apostles, taking part in the fellowship, and sharing in the fellowship meals and the prayers.”

The Twelve Disciples

Then Acts 2:43-47 goes on to discusses the life among believers and how they care for one another . . . which you could relate back to the Vine and the Branches story.  Alternatively there is a good sermon provided by Sermons4Kids titled Love One Another:

The Vine and the Branches

Sermons4Kids – Love One Another

Looking at this weeks homiliesbyemail.com children’s lectionary sheets they also seem to fall within this theme.  Luke 17:5-6 is about faith and Luke 17:7-10 is about a servant’s duty:

Children’s Activity Sheets – Sunday, 3 October 2010

Have an awesome week!  For those who have been hanging out for a newsletter the first one should arrive in your inbox toward the end of the week.

Blessings,

Kids Activity Sheets: Trucks

We were at the food shops earlier this morning and our youngest decided that he would like to have a chat with the lady serving us at the check out.

This is about how the conversation went “Truck”… “Truck”… “Truck” until she took notice, and then “Oh, hello, how are you?” from the shop assistant.   “Truck,” big grin.  “Oh, you’ve got a big truck do you?” responds the shop assistant.  “Truck” comes his response with another big grin.    Giggles from the shop assistant…  and a loud “Truck” and a big grin from the little man.  The conversation went on like that from when the shop assistant started putting our food through, and finished only when we walked out the supermarket doors, out to the car.

I found this quite amusing, so I wanted to share.  He tells absolutely everyone about trucks, especially when he sees one from the car window.  So you can imagine what the toy box consists of… yes we have just a few toy trucks, lol, we’ve nearly put a banned on the things he’s got so many!

Today, since I am talking about it, I thought it appropriate to offer provide some links to some good “truck” themed activity sheets:
