Great Play Dough Recipe and Games

Found a new resource this evening.  I couldn’t seem to be able to locate our play dough recipe so I went looking on the net and found the Best Ever Play Dough Recipe at the website K-3TeacherResources.com.  Why you are over there you might like to have a look around – as it looks like a really useful site for teachers and parents alike.

On the topic of play dough try and think creative – as it can be used for many things.  Below I have provided a few thoughts and ideas on how you can utilise play dough at home, in your classroom or at events:

  1. Play Dough Pictionary
    Google it for more information!
  2. Interactive Story Telling
While telling a story to your children or a class provide them with some play dough and ask them to help you tell the story by making the characters, shapes, objects that are in that story.  For example if you are telling a story about the Christmas Nativity then you might have them make an angel, then a star and then baby Jesus.  This is great for pre-school kids!
  3. Educational Games
Natural Parenting Tips provides some really awesome play dough games that you can get the children to do – games include Spelling, Memory, Tallest Tower, Shapes and Color Creation.

I’m sure that there are probably even more game ideas if you go looking online – feel free to share them as a comment below.

Happy play dough making!

I want to also take this opportunity to wish Mom’s across the world a really blessed Mother’s Day tomorrow.  My plan is to stop and have a rest for a little bit tomorrow and spend some time with my family – hopefully you will have the opportunity to do this also.
