Easter Bonnet – Ideas and How to Instructions

Even though Easter Bonnets are a tradition, I had never actually heard about them until a couple of years back, when one of our Children started at Child Care.  What happened was that he got an invite at Easter time to what they called a ‘Bonnet Parade’… and I stood out at Reception with this blank look on my face and asked, ‘What is a Bonnet Parade?’  Lol!!

Because this was new to me I wasn’t quite sure what to make… I was worried that all the kids might come with these  fancy things.  When the day arrived we went along and I realised that it didn’t really matter how simple or fancy they were and they didn’t actually have to be hats – it was okay to do bunny ears or something like that.  It was definitely about the fun that the kids had wearing them, and for many of the kids – the enjoyment of preparing the hat ready for the Bonnet Parade.

I have included some links for you to Easter Bonnet ideas.  I have tried to put the ideas for bonnets that are more basic up the top and the more complex ones for older Children down the bottom.
